One of the hardest job in cleaning the entire car is cleaning the carpet. The carpet could get really heavy and challenging to clean if you're doing the wrong way.

One of the easiest ways to clean a car's carpet is to take it completely out of the car, soak it with laundry detergent, scrub it, rinse it, and dry it.

Here are the steps to clean a 2004 Toyota Camry carpet:

Step 1: You'll need to pay attention to you local weather before starting this job. You'll need a few hot and dry days to completely dry the out the carpet.

Step 2: Buy a house wash that connects to a garden hose. If you don't need to wash your house at this time, just dump it out into a bucket for later use, and rinse the house wash container. Then fill the house wash container with your favorite laundry detergent, and connect it to your water hose.

Step 3: Lay your car's carpet on a flat and clean surface. You could use six of 2x4 studs. Lay the 2x4 studs on your lawn for a clean and flat surface to work on. Place your car's carpet on the 2x4 studs, and soak it with the house wash spray.

Step 4: Scrub the carpet with a long and clean broom. You may need to soak the carpet a few times because the carpet could leak out water faster than you could scrub.

Step 5: After you've completely scrubbed the carpet, rise it well with your regular garden hose sprayer. You may need to tilt one side a time to rinse the bottom of the carpet to get rid of all laundry detergent.

When you think it's complete rinsed, just rinse it one more time. Do not try to pickup the carpet immediately because it is very heavy with water soaking in. Let it sit for an hour or two. Then you're ready to hang it dry.

Step 6: Once the carpet is partially dried, it's light enough to pick up for drying. You'll need to locate a vertical hanger place that's facing the sun. It must be high enough to completely suspend the carpet in the air. It works very well on the side of a deck. If you don't have a deck, you'll need to plan a head to find a place where you could hang the carpet before washing. Hanging the carpet will dry out faster than it sitting flat because you have both the gravity and the sun drying out the carpet. You'll need a few hot and dry days to completely dry out the carpet.
