There are two plastic covers located in the passenger's foot area. The circulation fan cover and the side wall cover are located at the right front corner. There are no metal screws holding them in place. They are held in place by a plastic nut and snap-in clips. The following are the steps to remove the passenger's foot area covers.
Step 1: Remove the black plastic nut located on the right corner of the passenger's foot area.
Step 2: Pull the plastic circulation fan cover by using a flat screw driver to release the snap-in pins located toward the front of the cover. Then pull down and toward you to release the cover.
Step 3: Pull the side wall cover to the left. It should pop right out. The are two types of snap-in retainer, on of which may not pop-out when you removed the side wall cover. You'll need to you a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it out.
Step 4: Pull out the snap-in plastic retainer.
Step 5: Put the snap-in retainer back to the side wall cover. Note: if you didn't pull out the snap-in retainer, and you put the side wall cover back in, the snap-in retainer may fall into the opening.
