How To Change A 2004 Camry LE Cabin Air Filter Most people don't realize that the easiest thing that they could do to improve the air quality in their cars is replacing the cabin air filter. A majority of the newer cars came equipped with the cabin air filter. 2004 Toyota Camry LE models have it. Toyota made it really easy to get access to the cabin air filter. There is only one screw that you need to remove to get access to the cabin air filer. Refer to the images and instructions below to change a 2004 Toyota Camry LE cabin air filter. Step1: Pull down the glove compartment door and remove the single screw on the right side of the glove compartment. Step2: There are two retaining pins, located on the left and the right side, that hold the glove compartment from sliding out. Push around the retaining pin area toward the center of the glove compartment to release one side at a time. Step3: Locate and remove the cabin air filter. The filter is snapped in place. To remove it, just pull it straight out with just a little force.  Step4: Exam the old filter. If it's dirty, replace it. If your car is a few yeas old or older, replace it the air filter! Step5: Take a closer look at the old cabin air filter. May it'll help motivate you to replace it ASAP! The picture below came out of a Camry that only had about 80K miles with city driving. Step6: Compare the old cabin air filter with the new one to make sure you have the correct size. Step7: The new 2004 Camry cabin air filter does not come with the plastic casing. You'll need to reuse the old plastic casing. Step8: Make sure you replace the new air filter in the direction of the air flow. Step9: The new cabin air is in place and ready to put back in.
